Laura Lovett, Managing Editor of HIMSS Media, interviewed Terry Boch, Diameter Health’s Chief Commercial Officer, on the new CMS/ONC regulations that require greater data sharing but are complicated by ongoing data quality problems.
Terry provides her perspective on the regulatory and health data landscape and the growing need for interoperability in the time of COVID-19. While the volume of clincal data being exchanged is growing rapidly, the quality of data being exchanged is not improving. This has a negative effect on critical applications such as population health analytics, prior authorization, and quality reporting including HEDIS.
