Diameter Health Chief Data Scientist to Present on Two Panels at ONC’s 2nd Interoperability Forum

Presentations to Focus on Policy and Standards Development Around Data Quality and Interoperability

Farmington, CT—August 6, 2018—Diameter Health, a leading enabler of clinical insight through the cleansing, deduplication and enrichment of clinical data across the care continuum, today announced that its Chief Data Scientist, Chun Li, PhD, has been invited by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) to present at ONC’s 2nd Interoperability Forum. Taking place August 6th- 8th, 2018 in Washington, DC, the event will bring together members from ONC, federal partners and the healthcare and technology sectors, to learn about recent efforts to advance interoperability nationwide and identify concrete actions in response to current interoperability barriers.

Li will present on two panels on Tuesday, August 7: “Reports from the Field: On Content Quality and Continuous Improvement Efforts,” and “Tooling Demos and Discussion.” Both presentations will focus on the current and future plans to advance content interoperability. While progress has been made using the most recent standards for clinical data exchange, issues related to data access and patient safety remain. Li will discuss how automated tooling for the detection of data quality holds promise to identify and resolve barriers to clinical data exchange and how data quality surveillance programs using such tools can improve standards implementation and adoption.

“We are excited to be selected by ONC to present along with other industry influencers on the latest obstacles and innovations around data quality and interoperability,” said Eric Rosow, CEO of Diameter Health. “Within these panel discussions, Chun Li’s clinical data expertise will lend tremendous insight into the discourse on the advancement of content interoperability, and we are proud to have her there as a member of the Diameter Health team.”

In her role as Chief Data Scientist, Li leads the development of Diameter Health’s analytical platform and core solutions. In her previous roles, Li worked as a Senior Analyst at Health Advances, a Boston-based healthcare management and strategy consulting company. She received her B.S. in Biological Sciences and Biotechnology from Tsinghua University, China, and her PhD in life sciences from Harvard University, and recently was named a finalist for the Connecticut Technology Council 2017 Women of Innovation Award.
